Jane Barnes has been a prolific speaker to groups and clubs for two decades. Whether the groups are members of Women’s Institutes, Probus, U3A or many other types of social groups, Jane comes across as a very positive, enthusiastic and knowledgeable speaker. Her amusing stories, real life anecdotes and farming tales make superb listening and requests for return visits are many. Being a dairy farmers’ daughter, to meeting Mark at Young Farmers Club, to running her own dairy farm since 1992, whilst bringing up a family, life has never been dull. Their children Charlotte (named after a favourite cow) and Harry (bred to be the 4th generation dairy farmer) have not only provided great material but also enlightened her life as a farmers’ wife and therefore, her tales too.  Since the Covid-19 lockdowns, Jane is also willing to give her talks via Zoom or Teams.  This enable groups from all over England and Wales to Tales from a Dairy Farmers Wife!

She’s also visits schools and takes “Daisy” (pet heifer calf) with her wherever she goes.

Each talk lasts up to 1 hour including taking questions throughout that time. Jane is keen to share her life experiences with all who wish to hear. Also Blue Stilton Cheese will be offered for sale at the end of her talks for you to take home and try.
